Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We stopped by the preview for Vince's Chelsea Market Sale this morning, and now that it's open to the public, plan to go as soon as you can. The stock is pristine and the discounts are well worth the trip. All sizes in every style (for now) mean there's something for everyone. Here's what we discovered:

When you enter, the men's section is to the right, and women's is on the left. Blouses ($79) and dresses ($119) come first. You'll also find racks and racks of cashmere and wool sweaters in the women's section, priced at $99 (for styles that were originally $165 to $295) and $119 (for styles that were originally $325 to $495). Nearby is a rack of leather dresses ($199), where we spotted a few little black sleeveless designs that retailed for $1,250. Leather skirts and skorts are $129, and regular skirts are $69.

Amongst the blouses and dresses, we saw a sleeveless pink blouse with zipper details for $79 (was $195) and teal shift dress for $119 (was $325). There is a rack full of leather tops for $129; we noted a gray leather short-sleeve style (with snakeskin texturing) for $129 (was $595). Two racks hold jackets ($149) and outerwear ($179). We liked a tan jacket with a tie waist (was $495).

Heading down into the back section, there is a rack on the left with jumpsuits ($119), while leather jackets and vests ($279) are on the right. We liked a perforated steel blue leather vest (was $895) and a blush leather moto (was $1,050). Leather pants and leggings are in the center ($199), including a great maroon pair with zipper pockets (was $1,175). Sizes run from XS to L, or 0 to 12, but small sizes are the most plentiful (mediums are scarce).

Leggings are on a center rack for $69, and pants are at the back for $89 (jeans are $79). We saw drawstring shorts for $69 (were $245), and a great pair of black jeans that were originally $245. Knit tops are on the left side of the back section, with plenty of stock and sizes. There are three price points, $19, $29, and $49 depending on the original price (from $48 up to $165). We liked a cobalt blue sleeveless top for $29 (was $95), and tank tops for $19 (were $48).

Up in the men's section, the biggest discount is a rack full of leather jackets for $279 (were $1,250). Men's knits are $29 to $49, sweaters are $69 to $99, and a rack of blue blazers are $149 each (were $425). We liked a solid gray sweater for $99 (was $325). Men's jeans are $69, woven shirts are $59 (were $225), and shorts are also $59.

The staff is expecting another shipment this evening or tomorrow, so there may be a bit more stock to sort through later, but as of right now, everything is out on the floor. There is a women's dressing area with mirrors in the back, so you don't have to worry about disrobing on the sales floor.
