Scoop NYC's Warehouse Sale Has Your Almost-Fall Wardrobe for 75% Off

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Here are your instructions for the Scoop NYC warehouse sale, which kicked off today at the Soho store: Divide and conquer—literally. We stopped by 475 Broadway shortly before the doors opened this morning and found that every item in the sale section (pro tip: enter from Mercer Street) is marked with a red price, but what you'll actually pay at the register is half off that number. That's the dividing part; how many pieces you'll actually conquer is up to you and your bank account.

The Soho boutique has been trucking in merchandise from its various locations across the country, bringing New Yorkers up to 75% off Michael Kors dresses, Rag + Bone denim, Helmut Lang tops, Onia swimwear, Jimmy Choo footwear, and so much more. And while past sales often had everything from heavy sweaters to thin tank tops—meaning you could find something for any season—this one felt particularly pegged to right now, with everything falling into that ambiguous pre-fall category that can be worn both now and in the months to come.

Since everything is individually marked, get a sense of what you'll find (and how much you'll be spending) by scrolling through the gallery above; each item is listed with original and sale prices, as well as sizing when applicable.

As usual, apparel dominates this sale, and there's more for women than there is for men. Merchandise is either divided by designer—it's easy to spot the sections with Missoni tops and Iro leather jackets, for example—by category, or by color (like a rack of white tops). Women will find higher-end designers like Veronica Beard and Michael Kors on one side, and contemporary merchandise on the other; the latter is where you're going to find under-$100 pieces like Clover Canyon and Scoop NYC dresses, Iro denim, and a couple of great swim pieces by Beth Richards.

Shoppers who were waiting outside to get in right when the doors opened at 9am beelined straight for the women's shoes, which included a couple of sneakers and slides from Nike, Rag + Bone booties, and Stuart Weitzman and Tamara Mellon heels. There was also solid representation in the men's section—early bird guys were browsing shorts, button-down shirts from the likes of Steven Alan and Closed, Won Hundred denim, and New Balance sneakers marked all the way down to $24.50. Generally, the average price point for men across most categories is less than in the same section for women's.

Do you need to rush over to this sale right away? Not necessarily: It's running through Labor Day weekend, the store will be restocking plenty of the styles that are already out on the floor, and they're not planning on any further markdowns. It's also running online, too, in case you're not in the neighborhood. But if you are, check out further sale details in the Dealfeed below.
