What You Missed at That Manolo Blahnik Sample Sale In a Rural Farm Town

Didn't make it to that Manolo Blahnik sample sale in a Connecticut farm town? Neither did we, but now we know all about what we missed. Refinery 29 made the trek, and claims the sample sale was "practically the opposite of those you'll find in NYC."

How, exactly? Mainly, the difference could be attributed to the lack of New Yorkers. "Instead of competitive strangers chomping at the bit while waiting in line, friendly neighbors sat in lawn chairs wearing flannel and sharing coffee out of canteens." Also of note: "When the doors opened 45 minutes early, there was a selection of thousands of shoes that, in Soho, would have all been gone in 15 minutes," including $150 pumps, over-the-knee boots and suede sandals for 90% off.

In case you're currently experience a severe case of FOMO, rest assured: There's reportedly rumors of another sample sale coming to the University of Connecticut campus this November.
