Hanley Mellon, the brand launched by Tamara Mellon's ex-husband and his then-wife Nicole Mellon in 2014, has officially dropped the "Mellon." After the couple announced they would be divorcing last month, Hanley is renaming her brand just that: Hanley.

The name change won't affect its vision of creating geographically inspired collections from places like Kenya or Antwerp, however: "I am excited and confident in the evolution of the Hanley Brand, which continues the expression, creatively, of my experience in the world," Hanley told WWD.

Good news for Upper East Siders, too: That forthcoming store we told you about at 29 East 61st Street is still on its way, though you'll have to wait until January (and not this fall, as was previously reported). The 2,400-square-foot space will still be a hybrid boutique, showroom, and office space, and will carry the brand's full collection as well as a new selection of menswear and home decor.
