Almost exactly a year after it was first announced, the "the coolest Starbucks you're ever going to go into" will finally live up to its name: As of Wednesday, Williamsburg's second Starbucks will start serving alcohol.

DNAinfo reports that despite vehement backlash from neighboring bars and multiple denials from the State Liquor Authority, the outpost at Bedford Avenue and North 7th Street will launch its Starbucks Evenings program. Though the "stealth Starbucks" inside Macy's Herald Square does have a liquor license, the Williamsburg location will be the first standalone café in the city—and one of just 70 Starbucks in the country—to serve alcohol.

Starting at 4pm Wednesday, you'll be able to order from 10 different types of wine, four beers by Brooklyn Brewery, and small plates like truffle mac and cheese and bacon-wrapped dates alongside the usual dosage of venti PSLs and jazz CDs. If the only time you've ever been drunk in a Starbucks was to use the public bathroom, now's your chance to experience it like a grown person.
