Anthom's Sample Sale Has Cool Summer Styles, 3D Printed Jewelry

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We stopped by Anthom's store on 10th Avenue to check out their sample sale going on for the next few days, and found brands on brands on brands. Cameo, Kaarem, Yune Ho, Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen and Achro were all represented, plus several others. Sizes erred on the side of XS or S, but we definitely found a few larges and mediums as well.

There are three racks to the left side of the entrance that have mostly samples (a few regular priced items are on the very end). Kaarem and Yune Ho dominate the section with a grab bag of a few other brands. We liked a Kaarem sleeveless orchid dress for $150 (was $360), a printed maxi dress for $150 (was $440), and sesame-colored pants with pockets for $40 (were $140). Amongst Yune Ho we saw a button down blouse for $175 (was $297) and a navy asymmetrical skirt for $230 (was $385). Other items of note: a Cameo mesh bra top for $50 (was $120), Meshit# cropped teal jacket for $85 (was $175) and Kimem shorts ($25).

On the table in the front room are some accessories and knits, like a Tabula Rasa sweatshirt ($100), a Yune Ho pullover ($225), and a Yune Ho fisherman short sleeve pullover ($285). A black leather clutch is $65 (was $280), wool hats are $95 (were $248) and Tabula Rasa beach towels are $65 (were $160).

The back room has more styles, plus shoes and jewelry. Amongst the clothing we spotted a Henrik Vibskov tank for $40 (was $70), styles from Drifter including a gradient tank for $65 (was $125), an Achro high-neck top for $50 (was $140) and a Heich Es Heich embossed sweatshirt for $155 (was $275). Big price cuts included a Goenjo woven jacket for $395 (was $750), a mustard Low Classic curve line skirt for $85 (was $235), and a light pink Yune Ho boyfriend cardigan for $195 (was $325). West 14th also has a big presence—there's a gray leather moto jacket for $485 (was $785), a wine and black dress for $395 (was $695) and a wool and leather moto jacket for $295 (was $440).

Shoes run from 5 up to a 10 with a few styles on sale. Carlynn stingray sandals are $200, transparent Ariella sandals are $82, and black Justine boots are $166. The jewelry is modern and minimalistic, with cool geometric metal earrings ($45-$58), rings ($48-$58), cuffs ($63) and bangles ($52). The 3-D printed styles are cool statements in red, cobalt blue, gray and orange, with rings for $28, reflector bangles for $40, and larger track bangles for $89. The pretty copper hangers used throughout the store aren't discounted, but you can buy five of them for $20, if you so desire (we wanted to).

We'd stop by here soon as a good number of items are one-off options, and there is little to re-stock once sizes starting going.
