DJ Opens Cool-Girl Surf Shop In the Rockaways

The Notion

One more reason to take the A train to the Rockaways rather than the Hamptons Jitney this summer: May Kwok, fashion-girl-slash-DJ will open a pop-up that's all about one of her other hobbies: surfing. The NYT reports that The Notion will sell up-and-coming designers like Won Hundred, Nomia, Kaelen, and Collina Strada, as well as Cynthia Rowley wet suits and Prism swimwear.

It'll be located inside the Palms, a small mini-mall on Beach 96th Street—but it's only a "teaser" for something bigger later. For now, it's open Thursdays through Sundays in the summer, and according to its Instagram account, is "a curated retail experience for the modern fashion conscious girl who's sexy, effortless, healthy, and cultured." We'll be there.
