Remember that time Max Mara looked at the new Whitney museum and was like "Huh, now wouldn't that would make a good handbag?" It looks like they got some influential New Yorkers to agree. The Post has spotted local fashion mavens like Sarah Jessica Parker, Gigi Hadid, and Karlie Kloss carrying the Whitney Bag around town, which imitates the Renzo Piano-designed building with its clean striped lines and has the oh-so-casual price tag of $1,750 $1,150.

What are the chances that Max Mara gave these tastemakers the bag to influence other people to buy it? High, probably. But you know what? It's kind of working—if you see a spare grand or two lying around, let us know.
