Cupcakes Have Annihilated All Chance of the Kardashians on Spring Street

Those praying for a Dash outpost at the corner of Spring and Lafayette streets should now take a moment of silence. This week, these dreams were dashed (so sorry, all) by the opening of a new Baked By Melissa shop at the same address.

Bowery Boogie reports that the rumored Kardashian-owned building at 63 Spring Street—most recently the site of a Ricky's beauty pop-up and two violations from the Landmark Preservation Commission—is now home to the mini cupcake chain's newly replaced Soho outpost (the original, over on Broadway, closed last summer). If you aren't a sweet tooth, however, the location does happen to share an address with the new Tiny Empire juice shop.
