Aside from sweater weather and finally being able to stand on a subway platform for more than a minute without breaking into a sweat, New Yorkers have two more reasons to look forward to fall. WWD reports that Totokaelo, the Seattle-based boutique that carries a cutting-edge collection of men's and women's contemporary fashions, will open here on September 10th, while cult Parisian footwear brand Repetto will debut its first stateside store later in the season. Both are located in Soho, naturally.

Going in chronological order here, the paper reports that Totokaelo's store at 54 Crosby Street—making it neighbors with Broken English and Soulcycle—will have multiple personalities: "The floors will vary from an airy French showroom with an atrium ceiling to a slick black hangout with arched stone ceilings and glass closets," spread out across 8,400 square feet.  Expect to find Haider Ackermann and The Row for women and Dries van Noten and Marni for men on the racks, which founder and CEO Jill Wegner believes will attract "creative intellectuals" to the store.

Following that is Repetto on West Broadway, adding to that particular block's concentration of French stores—brand CEO Jean-Marc Gaucher points out that it's neighbors with Ladurée and near Bonpoint as well. The label that's famously known for flats will heavily showcase Opera, its first full collection of high heels, in this space; WWD reports that it'll hit Paris boutique Colette first on November 2nd before coming to New York, so that gives us a clue on when to expect this opening.

The 2,350-square foot space will also house Repetto's leather goods and fragrances, an atelier for customizing shoes in one of 250 available shades, and even a space dedicated to dancing (yes, really). And next, they'll go uptown: Gaucher is hoping that the country's second store will be located on Madison Avenue.
