NOOO: Band of Outsiders Is (Maybe) Already Closed For Good

What began as a mission to scope out the prices on Band of Outsiders' remaining Wooster Street store stock quickly turned into a post-mortem: Upon attempting to enter the space, we were greeted by this grim sign:

Refusing to believe the worst, we double-checked with staff, who informed us that for the next few days, they'll be logging inventory, and if—and only if—they open up the store to shoppers this weekend, it'll be for the last time ever.

To find out if you should swing by, keep an eye on the Band of Outsiders Instagram account, which, in the wake of the brand's impending closure has managed to remain delightfully upbeat and replete with goofy pop culture references (e.g. Anchorman and Airplane!). This is exactly why we'll miss you, Band of Outsiders.

Update: Speaking of Instagram, the brand just posted a video with the following message:

The proverbial Fat Lady sings, at least for me and my time here at Band. I can't really comment on the future of the brand as that's out of my hands at this point, but I do want to say thanks to all of the Band fans out there who embraced and supported our brand and clothes over the years, and my employees and partners who dedicated so much energy and enthusiasm. The store should be open for at least another week so, like, go buy something cute. And enjoy it. That was the whole point of this thing after all.

We'll be crossing our fingers for another week to shop!
