If you're looking for casual but on-trend outfits for fall, look no further than this week's Maje sample sale, hosted at 260 Fifth Avenue. As we saw at last night's preview, you'll find plenty of warm items like stylish sweaters, fur-trimmed coats, jackets, and winter accessories at up to 80% off retail prices. And, like at the last sale, you'll also find a good selection of shoes, bags, and jewelry available.

Prices are not the lowest, but definitely cheaper on all fronts compared to earlier this year. Prices on clothing include $45 for tee shirts, $95 for sweaters, $125 for jackets, and $195 for leather dresses. It tops off at $495 for fur coats — whether faux or real fur. Denim's a good deal at $50 a pop, but there are not many larger sizes.

You will find cheaper prices in the accessories section, where bracelets and earrings are at $25 and necklaces are $30 (the retail range for these is between $45 and $200). We also spotted cashmere (retail $140) and 100% wool hats for $30 disappearing quite quickly. There are also four bins of belts, including leopard pony hair and really soft genuine leather waist belts, all for $30.

We particularly liked the selection of outerwear, including a long black wool coat with leather panels for $295 (was $1,125) and a gray wool coat with fur trim for $295 (was $1,335). There is a row of parkas with fur trim for $295 (was $950) and a small selection of leather jackets for $250 — that's $100 cheaper than the last sale.

We also liked the collection of sweaters ($95) and cardigans ($125), including some mixed wool/metallic sweaters that'll brighten your gloomy winter palette. The sweaters pair perfectly with Maje's dark skinny jeans ($50) or synthetic-leather patch leggings ($75).

There was a good but selection of shoes, but there was not much interest in this section last night. Maybe that's because of the prices, which start at $125 for sneakers and pumps and go to $150 for boots and booties. But once again, that's still a bit cheaper than at the last sale, where they were priced at $150 and $195.

Styles were still being stocked while we were there, and there will definitely be more restocking throughout the sale. Unlike last sale, the sizing (T1-3 or T36-T40) was a bit better for most styles, but certain items definitely lacked sizing options.

The ten-piece limit for the dressing room was strictly applied, and don't skip try-ons regardless of how many items you have — it's recommended since everything is made a bit smaller. The sale runs through the weekend, and markdowns are expected to hit later this week. See the Dealfeed below for details.—Hsini
