Saturday, October 24th was truly a frightening site. That's when thousands descended upon the East Village to witness the 25th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade, where the city's most patient pups (and sometimes their clever owners) put on their best costumes and walked the runway in hopes of taking the top prize — bragging rights, plus a few thousand bucks — as part of the world's largest Halloween event for dogs.
Those who made it through the tricky crowd got their treat in the form of dog sushi, dog Mario and Luigi, dog Rainbow Fish, dog Three Little Pigs, dog dinosaurs, dog Back to the Future, and many more. Plus, plenty of Instagram's most famous pets, including the Menswear Dog and Chloe the Mini Frenchie, made appearances as well.
