At Monday evening's Alice + Olivia sample sale preview, we found a large selection of sequined and sparkly dresses, tops, and skirts. And when we checked back in this morning, since extra discounts came through yesterday, we found ample sizing for most apparel (except for a dwindling supply of coats) and a totally restocked sample section.
Everything is categorized by price, making it easy to figure out how much that must-have skirt costs. And now with the additional 25% off, pricing is as follows: apparel that was originally $100—$199 is now $60; $200—$299 items are $90; $300—$399 items are $112; $400—$499 items are $150; $500—$599 items are $202; $600—$899 items are $210; and $900—$1,299 items are $225.
Thankfully, three days into the sale, there is still plenty of stock in all sizing. Seriously, there’s still so much left over that you'll want to leave extra shopping time just to make sure you can just get through everything. There are enough opulent beaded jackets for $225 (from $1,600), tulle ballerina skirts for $150 (from $475) and party dresses for you to outfit a whole new wardrobe.
However, the winter coats are going fast, and rightfully so —many were originally priced at more than $1,000 and are now going for around $200. Yet we did find an elegant emerald jacquard evening coat for $202 (from $597) and a fur-trimmed winter masterpiece for $225 (from $1,119), both available in sizes.
Hidden in the back are the samples, for which the additional 25% off discount does not apply. We noted earlier in the week that shoppers seemed to be disappointed with the sample offerings, and that sentiment has stayed — even at $49, they are mostly untouched. But take a look through them anyway if you have the time, just in case: we found a cute polka dot tank top and a simple mock neck jersey top worth scooping up. If you’re rushing, skip this so that you can avoid figuring out which pieces are falling apart.
