Sometimes, things can take a while to find their way to New York City (we're looking at you, Chick-Fil-A). A fashion-y example of this is jewelry brand Kendra Scott, whose 30-plus freestanding stores around the country carrying designs ranging from chunky statement necklaces to delicate midi rings — with plenty of sparkly druzy stones thrown in for good measure — attest to its popularity across the country. And now she's finally making inroads in Manhattan with the debut of a one-night-only Color Bar within the Bloomingdale's flagship.

To clarify, a Color Bar isn't where you order crazy-bright drinks — it's where you can customize your own pieces, getting your preferred gems in your favorite settings. Scott herself will be on hand on the second floor between 6:30pm and 8:30pm tonight, where customers will get a special gift with a purchase of $100 or more. And while the Color Bar won't be around after today, the brand's pre-designed pieces are now a permanent fixture at Bloomingdale's.

Update: A previous version of this article stated that the Color Bar would be open for at least several days; instead, it is only part of tonight's event.
