The Market NYC is making moves towards opening up a third location. With two other markets on both Bleecker Street and Bedford Avenue, this newly added 290 Mulberry Street venue promises to secure its hold on the downtown market scene, and comes after more than a decade of both internal and external reshuffling, reports Bowery Boogie.

The brand made the official announcement over on Instagram:

"Hooray!! We just signed a 10yr lease for a brand new 3,000 sq. ft. Store for The Market NYC, NOLITA, at 290 Mulberry St. on the corner of Houston St., NYC . This is an exceptional location, Windows all around, high ceilings and amazing traffic. Entrances on both Houston & Mulberry St. More info to follow. Interested vendors please email us at info@themarketnyc.com"

Interestingly enough, the new location is only a block up from where Market NYC's story began behind St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral. The market later moved to the Meatpacking District, before eventually landing the Greenwich Village outpost at 159 Bleecker Street in 2013. Later, it snapped up two adjacent stores in Williamsburg's Mini Mall on Bedford Avenue.

The Nolita market hopes to open in early January, but to take advantage of holiday shopping season the location will host a temporary store starting on Black Friday. This set-up will run for 18 days as managers ready the space for the real deal behind the scenes.
