Upon arrival at this morning's friends and family portion of The Row's sample sale, we were shocked to discover no more than ten people in line outside Metropolitan Pavilion (a mystery with a pretty obvious conclusion). The sale opens to the public at noon, and shoppers will find tons of bag styles, tables stocked with glorious sweaters, and racks upon racks of gorgeous, minimalist ready-to-wear. Photography wasn't allowed inside the sale, so we've pulled the styles we saw with their marked-down prices for the gallery above.
We'll start with the bags, which are on your immediate right. All handbags, from clutches to totes, are 60% off the marked price, so you'll first have to do some digging — the original prices are located on very fancy cards tucked inside the pocket — and then some math to find out what you'll pay today. A large carry-all is $900 (was $2,250), while top-handle bags are $1,340 (from $3,350). Clutches are the least expensive, with both a white wrap clutch and a sky navy multi-pouch going for $436 (was $1,090), and another dusty pink shoulder clutch for $500 (was $1,250).
Also in the bag section: a mahogany shopper for $620 (was $1,550), a sky blue top handle bag for $1,120 (was $2,800), a mahogany crossbody for $860 (was $2,150), a hobo for $840 (was $2,100), and a particularly gorgeous red bucket bag for $780 (was $1,950).
Phew! Onto the clothes, which are all 70% less than the retail price. Besides sweaters, everything's organized by size on racks, where we saw everything from the architectural Roden cape at $597 (was $1,990) to simple crisp tops like the Alex for $207 (was $690). Elsewhere, we found the long Liana dress in Pine for $537 (was $1,790), the belted Lanelle jacket for $657 (was $2,190), the beige wool Aisha coat for $675 (was $2,250), the Brilly leather moto jacket for $897 (was $2,990), the Leverton shiny sheath dress for $987 (was $3,290), the Petra button-down for $225 (was $750), the Notterly leather and suede legging for $687 (was $2,290), the silk cream-colored Orali dress for $687 (was $2,290), the Chano jacquard dress for $657 (was $2,190), and the sleeveless Sleeton blouse for $267 (was $890).
There's also a rack of especially expensive items near the front of the room, where we found the furry Forso coat for $3,270 (was $10,900), and the Saliana gown for $2,385 (was $7,950).
