Scott Sternberg might have #nocomment right now, but the Band of Outsiders designer's Soho store employees aren't so quiet. Following Tuesday's unexpected news that the label is on the verge of shutting down—laying off a majority of staff and canceling all fall orders—a sales associate confirmed to WWD that the flagship at 70 Wooster Street will close at the end of June.

The brand posted this picture to its Instagram last night with the caption "So, like, come and buy something. #70wooster, #sale,#nocomment." Most of the merchandise in the store is up to 40% off, the sales associate said, as part of a planned end-of-season sale that came before the closure (like other nearby boutiques are doing).

It's been less than a year since the massive store opened in the neighborhood, which we learned was coming way back in 2013. And now, its imminent departure leaves us with two major questions: Will discounts eventually reach sample sale proportions? The sales associate told WWD that they expect further reductions to come as the end of June approaches.

And, perhaps more importantly, what will happen to the Milk Bar window next door? If anyone has intel on this, let us know in the comments section—we'll be busy mourning the loss of Band of Outsiders with cake truffles and crack pie in the meantime.
