Malia Obama is headed to college, this we know for sure — but just where, exactly, is still up in the air. And with application deadlines looming, embarrassing mom slash First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama let it slip to NBC that her eldest daughter's top two choices are Barnard College and New York University.

She's also said to be considering Wesleyan University and Yale in Connecticut, as well as Tufts, Brown, the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, and the University of California at Berkeley. But factoring in that Malia wants to be a filmmaker, NYU's Tisch School of the Arts is the obvious choice here — she could do another stint interning on the set of HBO's Girls.

"We are talking about this in my household every night," Michelle told the news network. "And there's really no magic formula. It is a very individual decision."

Sure, it's a very personal and important decision, but obviously we want at least one Obama to call our own (and if Dad heads to his alma mater after 2016, then we'll get the whole lot of 'em). We'll just make them all promise to never, ever leave us. No pressure, though.
