We stopped by Rebecca Minkoff's sample sale at 260 Fifth Avenue this morning to see what's been snatched from opening day, and, well, it barely looks touched — there is still a lot of everything. And now it's cheaper, too: This morning, the sale host sent out an email announcing that everything's an additional 25% off, including "new styles" that weren't there earlier in the week.
But most of the sales associates we spoke to couldn't say for sure what "new styles" were added. In fact, all were positive that it's actually just more of the same bags in every color (like, every color imaginable). This isn't the worst news, since there's still plenty to choose from. The price reductions are still based on the original retail prices and now range from $20 to $324.
We spotted Mini MACs ($100), Quilted Affairs ($100), backpacks ($100), Jules satchels ($132), and clutches ($132) among a sea of colorful bag choices. Click through the gallery above to see a few styles available at the sale, including a shot of the entire price list.
Though the bags are clearly the main attraction here — we saw more than one shopper with bag handles spanning the length of their arms — there are still plenty of flats, sandals, sneakers, and boots in the shoe section. Ready-to-wear is still pretty full, too: you'll find tons of jackets, vests, skirts, and blouses. Toward the back of the space, there are Ben Minkoff laptop cases, iPad cases, and backpacks at reduced prices on a table in a variety of colors.
