Sample sale season is slowly winding down, but you wouldn't guess it if you're popping into the Tocca and Stila Cosmetics sample sale that's in full swing right now at 260 Fifth Avenue. We popped in just after the doors opened this morning at 9am to find heavenly-scented candles, soaps, and so many cosmetics — you certainly will not be disappointed.
Tocca's offerings are along the left side of the room. Shoppers will be delighted to find an abundance of eau de parfum ($40) in Graciella, Violette, Brigitte, Cleopatra, and Margaux. The smaller bottles cost $10, but we only saw a few left. Travel fragrances ($22) in Bianca and Colette, body washes ($10), body milk ($10), bar soaps ($5), hand soaps ($10), body scrubs ($15), and tons of hand creams ($5—$10, depending on size) line the tables.
Towards the back of the room, you'll find a very light smattering of large holiday candles ($25) — seriously, there's about four of them left — and a better selection of small candles ($10), mostly in Stella and Giulietta. There is also a large selection of laundry detergent.
In the back of the room is Tocca's discounted clothing for women and girls. We spotted long gowns ($200), jumpsuits ($125), coats ($150), jackets ($125), blouses ($85), shorts ($65), and pants ($65) on the women's racks. For girls, dresses ($50), coats ($50), tops ($30), and bottoms ($30) are available. Next to the registers, there is a table full of handbags and clutches.
The rest of the sale is devoted to Stila's merchandise. It's pretty straightforward: Tables of discounted lip & cheek stains, lip glazes, baked blushes, bronzers, Stay All Day Vinyl lip gloss, Magnificent Metals lip gloss, lip liners, and eyeliners are $5 apiece. Gift sets, including a collaboration with BaubleBar and an 'All That Glitters' makeup duo, will cost you $10 each. Click through the gallery above to find the perfect last minute stocking stuffers.
