Fitness buffs, get ready: WundaBar — a high-energy Pilates workout that uses a patented machine combining chair, bar, and jump board exercises — is opening a studio at 21 Thompson Street. A date hasn't been set for the opening just yet, but we can likely find it debuting in the first half of 2016.

This is the second LA-based fitness studio to make the jump to the East Coast lately. WundaBar will join Pop Physique, a ballet-barre hybrid that aims to give its participants a "new butt." And specifically in Soho, it's joining a flood of already-existing studios, including the just-opened new location of Real Pilates. But regardless of the competition, that's where founder Amy Jordan wanted to be, according to a director at the firm that worked out the lease. "WundaBar was on our short list and when we reached out we discovered they wanted a Soho location," James Famularo said in a statement. "As a result, it turned out to be a win-win for everyone."

Classes at WundaBar — which counts Susan Sarandon, Vanessa Hudgens, Tia Mowry, and Tinashe as clients — differ from other Pilates classes you may find in the city thanks to the WondaFormer, touted to give participants "unparalleled results faster," according to the studio's website.

Determined how true that claim is for yourself when the studio opens next year.
