Lord & Taylor's Holiday Windows: 40+ Detailed Shots of Winter Wonderland

You probably have yet to order your turkey and narrow down just how many pies you'll be making for Thanksgiving this year, but that hasn't stopped the city's top retailers from bringing their holiday best out to its windows not long into this unseasonably warm November. First up is Lord & Taylor, which presented its Fifth Avenue displays late last week under scaffolding that's cleverly been transformed into a spirited cave of sorts, with faux tree trimmings and white lights enshrouding its metal support structures.

Following its 78-year tradition of eschewing commercialization, Lord & Taylor's current windows fall under the theme of "A Few of Our Favorite Things." This includes a gingerbread kingdom held aloft by tiny gingerbread men, an advent calendar taking the form of a miniature mansion, and a sweets shop filled with treats that will definitely get your mouth watering.. Check out both full and close-up shots of the windows, photographed for Racked by Khushbu Shah, in the gallery above.
