We headed back to the Tory Burch sample sale this morning to check out what's left on the second and final day, and were thrilled to see that the prices have dropped even further: Short dresses are now $65, blazers and jackets are now $60, heels are $70, pants are $20, and sunglasses are now only $40. And while there's still an impressive collection of shoes and clothing available in most sizes, the big downside is that bags are nearly dunzo.
There were about 75 women waiting to get into the sale at 9am this morning, a sales associate told us (sounds familiar, no?), but we walked right in shortly before noon. The big hit today is the sale's remaining accessories, like the jewelry, sunglasses, and iPhone cases. Bracelets and rings are now at $30 each, necklaces are $50, and earrings are just $20. We especially liked the remaining cuff-like bangles, and pink leather wrap bracelets.
Only one style of sunglasses on display: a slightly oversize cat-eye in black and tortoise. At only $40, we'll take one of each. The iPhone cases are now only $10; we noticed that there wasn't a huge selection of cases made for the iPhone 6, but there's plenty for the earlier models.
The number of shoes left here is still pretty sizable, considering the crowds that have already come in. Sizes 7 and 8 were noticeably lacking some styles, but those racks with next to the tables of rubber flip flops were by no means were empty. We found a great pair of black lace-up pumps in a size 7, and a pair of platform black heels in a size 8 (both for $70). There were pink and red rubber flats (cute for these weekly summer rainstorms) left on a rack as well, for $30 a pair. But those flip flops are seemingly endless, now priced at only $15 in a variety of styles and colors.
The back of the space was dedicated to surplus clothing, all priced at $20. We liked the black sheer Angelique top that's available in several sizes and a navy blue strapless romper, which the employees on the floor were effortlessly pulling off. We're expecting the sale to draw in substantial crowds in its remaining hours—it closes at 7pm—so be sure to drop in after work and check out what's still left.
