Call it the Drybar-ification of NYC: Blushington, which has three outposts in California and Dallas, will open its first salon-slash-store in New York this summer, proving once again that beauty bars are having a serious moment.

Although Blushington isn't a hair salon, they're taking a page out of Drybar's book—that is, rapid expansion: Founder Stephi Maron wants to open ten—ten—salons in NYC over the next two years.

"We're trying to change the way people think about makeup," she told WWD. "It's not just for special events or once-a-year occasions. We are a seeing a lot more women coming in for date night or girls' night out."

Appropriately located across the street from Ten Over Ten and yes, Drybar in midtown, WWD reports that the city's first Blushington will be 1,000 square feet, with room for 10 makeup chairs.

After being handed a glass of Champange, Blushington clients choose from a selection of six looks, including Simply Glowing (think J Lo-esque bronze), Lucky Stars (red lips and a cat-eye reminiscent of Old Hollywood), and the Pure & Simple, the definition of no-makeup makeup. Products used are often indie LA brands like Julie Hewett, Kevyn Aucoin, Eve Lom, and Jouer, and are also sold at each salon.

Alongside makeup applications (full face $45 to $55, express service $20), Blushington also offers lash application ($18), lash extensions ($175), lash tinting ($20), brow tweezing ($15), brow waxing ($30), and brow tinting ($15), as well as special pricing for teen makeup applications ($20) and even little kids ($10).
