We dropped by the preview for the Mackage sale this morning and were pleasantly surprised to find not only purses but also women's and men's leather jackets and rainwear set up around the perimeter of the space.If you get there soon, you likely won't have to compete with too many shoppers. Here's what we saw.
In the bag section, the most common style is the Novaki cross-body ($146), which comes in poppy, sand, white, black, and silver. The Rubie cross-body is $206, and smaller Zoey clutches are $175 (were $250). Discounts of note include a large Titan bag in black and navy for $130 (was $650), the Carrie bag in black and green for $220 (was $550), Arizona shoulder bags for $119 (were $595) and the zip Roni clutch for $60 (was $295).
Now for the leather jackets. We saw sizes XXS to L in women' styles, and employees let us know that there is some backstock to replenish throughout the sale. There's a Veruca jacket (with wool collar) in merlot for $400 (was $990), a leather trench in black for $300 (was $890), and a Lisa jacket in jade for $320 (was $740). There are a few things from fall 2014 as well, including a black Azel wool coat for $250 (was $740), a black Tamika fur biker jacket for $300 (was $995) and a Gisa puffer vest for $160 (was $350).
Amongst the jackets and rainwear, we noted a few styles from the spring sale including the Bally zip jacket for $100 (was $270), the Hava rain jacket in sand for $100 (was $395) and the Sade leather jacket in blush for $260 (was $650). We also liked a waterproof Liana pea coat for $250 (was $450) and a Nelly rain jacket in mint for $150 (was $380).
The menswear area is slightly smaller but has an equal spread of sizes and styles. Men's rainwear is $70 (was $250). We noted the Damian jacket from the spring sale for $300 (was $590) and the Lionel leather vest for $240 (was $695). Love: the Nowell leather jacket with gold zippers for $360 (was $895).
Overall it's wise to check the tags on all purses and stock since some items are discounted much higher than others. Everything is as marked on the tags. The sale opened today at noon so head there before it ends this Thursday.
