Over the past week, Nolita vintage shop Quality Mending Co. has undergone not one, but two floods—a nightmare for any small business owner. A note left on the storefront this morning also adds that its insurance company is refusing to pay for any damages.

Instead of closing up shop, however, the store is holding a "flood sale," in which they'll sell "many great items at a loss and raise money so that we can get ourselves out of this mess." Read the heartbreaking message on the sign above, which ends with a note that shoppers can also visit the Williamsburg location at 705 Driggs Avenue.
