Give a hearty welcome back to outerwear line Mackage's sample sale, returning to New York City just in time for the colder months. Opening Wednesday, December 2nd and running through Saturday, the sale will have deep discounts — that's up to 80% off — on coats and accessories to help you avoid the below-freezing wind chills this winter.

As the brand informed us, wool jackets will be around $100—$200 (from $700), down coats around $350 (from $750) and certain bag styles around $150 (from $400). Back in the spring, we found that while the selection of leather and wool jackets was really nice, the discounts didn't really reach the advertised rate, with both categories coming in right around half-off. And at this sale last fall, the opening day crowds were intense.

The sale will also be a much-needed excuse to get rid of that puffer coat you haven't worn in years, since Mackage will be holding a coat drive to benefit NY Cares. Bonus: Anyone who drops off a used coat will be entered to win a Mackage handbag that's worth $495. For more info, check out the Dealfeed below.
