Buy Manolo Blahniks at Sample Sale Prices in This Tiny Connecticut Farm Town

Well, this is...something. Just a week after final markdowns wrapped up at the Manolo Blahnik boutique comes word from Madison Avenue Spy that the luxury shoe brand is having a charity sale in a tiny Connecticut town with prices that'll rival sample sales. Just how tiny? The town of Bantam measures one square mile and had a reported population of just 759 as of the 2010 Census.

The sale is hosted by the Arethusa Farm Dairy, which has more in common with the luxe shoe brand than you might think at first glance: George Malkemus and Anthony Yurgaitis own both the dairy and Manolo Blahnik USA. And "according to our inside sources," the shopping blogger writes, "the selection will include a full range of sizes and a variety of styles among summer and winter collections," with prices starting at $150.

It'll take place at the Bantam Fire House this Saturday, August 15th from 9am to 4pm (check out the address below), and Google Maps says that it's about a two-hour drive from midtown Manhattan without traffic. Public transportation to here isn't really viable, so it's time to start cozying up to that friend with the Zipcar membership now. And in case you need to use the guilt card, tell her that all sale proceeds benefit charity—specifically, the Arethusa Farm Scholarship Fund for University of Connecticut Agricultural Studies.
