Tattoo the Whole Family at Tattly in Brooklyn, Babies Included

Brooklyn has officially out hipster-ed itself. Getting inked is now a family affair thanks to Tattly, a temporary tattoo company whose Boerum Hill pop-up shop is offering preprinted designs. Customers can get body artwork using squeeze bottles of water and sponges, and not needles, the New York Times discovered.

The tattoos take a minute to apply and last for about two to four days. Clients can choose from individual designs like anchors, skulls and crossbones, an otter wearing a bowling hat, and a digital watch whose face reads "party." It'll set you back $5 for a two-pack and $6 for metallic ink, or $25 for a kid's full sleeve (and $40 for adults — more surface area). The pop-up's most popular tattoo request is "hands down" for an avocado design, according to the manager Hans Hendley. Sadly, the shop is unable to fulfill those requests.

"At least once a day, someone comes in thinking it's a real tattoo shop," Hendley told the paper, who replies to those people, "I'm happy to put one on you, but it's only going to last a few days."

Well, that's one surefire way to be the coolest-looking dad on the playground: matching tattoos with your offspring.
