Going as local as it gets, the designer network known as Not Just a Label is featuring brands that not only come from New York, but produce here, too, in its first-ever pop up shop opening tomorrow at the Waldorf Astoria on Park Avenue. Their inauguration into temporary brick-and-mortar is partly in thanks to New York City itself — specifically, the New York City Economic Development Corporation's Made in NY campaign that's spearheaded by fashion-friendly mayor Bill de Blasio.

Those tapped into the city's indie shopping scene will recognize plenty of names here, including Timo Weiland, Chromat, Bliss Lau, and Racked Young Guns-backed The Transcience. In total, 100 local brands are offering more than 400 items in the categories of men's and women's apparel, accessories, and jewelry.

And it's more than just another holiday market for finding gifts — NJAL is making sure that this serves as an educational opportunity, too. Adam Selman, Kelly Cutrone, and the CFDA's Steven Kolb are just some of the speakers scheduled to take part in workshops that'll begin at 6pm between December 7th and 10th. A selection of short fashion films will be screened, too.

Check out the pop-up shop through December 13th at the corner of Park Avenue and 50th Street; it's open daily from 11am to 9pm.
