Kiki de Montparnasse's Sample Sale Still Has Tons of 80% Off Bras

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Update, 7/30: As of this morning, all merchandise is now an additional 40% off its original sale prices.

Update, 7/29: We stopped by the sale this morning about a half hour after it opened, and found it either largely untouched or considerably replenished since yesterday. Racks are still full, and unfortunately prices haven't changed. (In fact, many of the racks still look exactly as they do in the photos above.)

Staffers wouldn't say when/if there would be more markdowns (there were last year), but it might be worth waiting a day or two to see—especially if you're an A cup bra. There are definitely plenty of those. See yesterday's full recap below:

For high-quality lingerie at prices that'll rival mall chains on any given day, head over to the Kiki de Montparnasse sample sale at 151 Wooster Street, where we found bras, undies, accessories, ready-to-wear, and loungewear at up to 80% off retail prices during this morning's preview.

After checking in your bag at the front, be a strategic shopper and head directly to the lingerie section in the back. Bras ($40—$50), organized by cup size, will be on your left, and bottoms, including low-rise and high-waisted undies ($40) and thongs ($30), will be on your right, available in sizes small through extra large. As for colors, expect several different nude tones and blacks, purples, and bright blues.

If you're here for something a little spicier, look no further than the racks of corsets ($50), belts ($50), garter belts ($75), and bodysuits ($60). Blindfolds ($35) are located in the middle of the floor in a glass display case.

Once you've made it past the myriad lingerie options, you're ready for loungewear and ready-to-wear. The sleeveless robes ($95) and the boudoir robes ($125) were the first items to catch our eye—they're available in colors like peacock, fuchsia, crimson, white, and nude. We also found a few kimono robes in red Chantilly Lace. Larger sizes are rare in this department, however: you'll see most of these in extra small or small.

Other recognizable items in the ready-to-wear section include Kiki's classic Make Love tee in ocean blue ($30) and Shadow blouses in midnight and emerald. Cotton skinny jeans ($75) and slim jeans ($75) are available in multiple washes in sizes 24 through 31.

For a better idea of rest of the merchandise, including dresses ($150—$250), shorts ($45—$55), crop tees ($30), camis ($40), and pants ($50), see the gallery above. The sale runs daily from 11am to 7pm through Saturday, August 1st—but be on the lookout for further markdowns beforehand, just like last time.
