After years of waiting, Whole Foods is finally announcing itself to Williamsburg. According to Bedford and Bowery, the neighborhood can now expect the upscale grocery store to be open in "late spring" of next year, as a per a banner that's been put up outside its glassy facade, recently released from its plywood cage. Back in 2012 we got official word that Whole Foods was making moves to join the Brooklyn neighborhood at 242 Bedford Avenue, but it's been slow-moving ever since.

Also in this transformed area, aside from the Scotch & Soda store that just opened, the Ralph Lauren that arrived over the summer, and the lambasted J. Crew and Madewell tag-team that debuted last year, is a brand new Levi's store at 120 North 4th Street. Officially open as of Monday, according to the brand, the 3,000-square foot store includes a tailor shop that offers hemming and custom embroidery and a selection of "reconditioned vintage" jeans, the first time ever they've been available in store. The blog also notes that there's also a G-Star Raw here now.

And it wouldn't be a Williamsburg retail update without seeing what the purported Apple store is up to over at 247 Bedford Avenue. Bedford & Bowery notes that there's still some plywood on the ground level, but the building is looking closer and closer to being finished. As usual, no word yet on an opening date.
