Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Looking for a good handbag sample sale today? You could try the Editorialist sale in midtown south, or you could head a few blocks west to the Mark Cross sample sale, which Mizhattan reports is stocked with classic styles typically found at places like Dover Street Market or Barney's New York at up to 85% off retail prices. We'll let the shopping blogger break down the prices:

Starting with the most affordable options, men's wallets were $50 (originally $395) while women's wallets were $100~$250 depending on the size and the leather used. Credit card holders were $50 (originally $225) while iPad cases were $100. As for bags, small calf leather Grace Box bags in a multitude of colors were $450 each (originally $2,200) while a canary yellow python version was $750 (originally $3,500). Other selections included Hadley satchels for $450 and Manray wicker totes for $400~$550.

For those who haven't heard of the label, Mark Cross bills itself as America's first luxury leather goods brand, since it launched in 1845 (it took a hiatus and relaunched in 2011). And that "Grace Box" bag mentioned above is named after actress Grace Kelly, and Cross still has a celebrity following today.

This sale runs through 6pm tonight in Suite 6N of 29 West 35th Street, so let us know if you snatch up anything good if you're stopping by.
