Think that Labor Day store sales are the only shopping ventures worth your time this weekend? Think again. Despite the holiday weekend, there are still plenty of good sample sale events with big discounts worth checking out if you're sticking around the city.

First up is the tail end of Scoop NYC's warehouse sale, with the Soho store carrying plenty of transitional pieces for men and women at up to 75% off retail prices from brands like Michael Kors, Clover Canyon, Helmut Lang, and even Jimmy Choo. Guys have the Cadet sample sale in the West Village all to themselves with a similar spread of merchandise—think everything from shorts to long wool coats. And those who are gearing up for fall races can check out the Asics warehouse sale at 260 Fifth Avenue through tomorrow, with extra discounts across all merchandise categories since it first opened.

Outside of the borough, Fred Perry is kicking off a big sale at the Williamsburg surplus store with 70% off men's and women's apparel, including special collaboration pieces with Raf Simons. And up in the Bronx, ABC Carpet's warehouse sale is going through the weekend as well.

And finally, some of our favorite sample sale hosts are clearing out their inventory to get ready for fall sales. You'll find deep discounts on multiple brands at 151 Wooster Street and in Chelsea Market; the latter sale includes J Brand, Torn by Ronny Kobo, Goodlife, and more.

Check out more details on each of these in our September sample sales calendar, where you can also brush up on what's to come throughout the rest of the month.
