Drybar's Next Salon Is Nestled Within Bloomingdale's Soho

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

In case you stumble into Bloomingdale's Soho location with bed head on your Black Friday shopping tear, know that you can make it out looking a bit more put together than when you came in — and not just by buying a new pair of pants so that you're not walking out in pajama flannels. The downtown department store is also the newest Drybar location, with the blow-dry salon opening its doors here this Monday, November 23rd.

The 10-chair will be located on the first floor, and accessible both through the beauty department and through the salon's own branded 44 Crosby Street entrance. And while it might seem like its yellow blowdryers have already been plugged into every New York City neighborhood imaginable so far, Soho is a pocket that they have yet to break into (nearby locations include Tribeca, the Meatpacking District, and Greenwich Village, the most recent one to open).

This location will put Drybar just one shy of the dozen salons they planned to open in the city by the end of 2015; expect the Brookfield Place and Boerum Hill doors to open pretty early into next year.
