Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Sachin & Babi sample sale kicked off this morning, which is to say that your one-stop location for party outfits is open and ready for your shopping pleasure.

Crop tops ($85), sequined and embroidered skirts ($75), embellished jackets ($125) and dresses make up the majority of the merchandise. When we arrived, shoppers were snatching up dresses—stock was pretty low by 10am. Prices range between $125 for short dresses and $225 for tea length dresses, cocktail dresses, and gowns.

True samples can be found on racks in the back of the showroom. Sachin & Babi outerwear, leathers, and fully embroidered pieces are $75, while all other sample pieces are $40. As for the eveningwear line, tanks and tees are $40 while gowns, long skirts and cocktail dresses are $75.

More merchandise is expected to arrive within the next several hours, and while no markdowns are currently planned, a staffer informed us that on the last day of the sale, they would consider a special markdown depending on the amount of merchandise available.

No shoes or accessories are for sale this time around, but you'll find some pieces from home goods line Ankasa near the sample racks. We spotted two accent pillows and some pillowcases, which are selling for $20 regardless of material or size.

Now for some bad news... A makeshift fitting room was created to try on pieces, but the shoppers crowding around the racks quickly disassembled it. With the amount and quality of the merchandise, however, we don't expect anyone to mind.

The sale runs through Thursday at 5pm. See below for more details.
