Here's Where Givenchy's Public NYFW Show Will Take Place

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Invitations haven't yet been sent out to those who applied for general admission tickets to Givenchy's NYFW presentation—moved here this year to celebrate their Madison Avenue store opening—but now we know the mystery location, thanks to Tribeca Citizen: Pier 26, off of the West Side Highway (we were on the right track thinking about those World Trade Center views).

As it turns out, Givenchy wasn't so secretive when obtaining the proper permits for this location: The local blogger noted the fashion brand's application during the minutes of a community board meeting all the way back in May. And since there's 100 tickets set aside for neighborhood residents, those who applied with a Tribeca address just got a leg up in the lottery.

There's no doubt that security will be intense, so showing up to the show on September 11th without a ticket probably won't do much—except perhaps get you a glimpse or two of creative director Riccardo Tisci's bevy of celebrity friends arriving for their front row seats.
