New York Giants Star Victor Cruz Made Pricey Men's Basics for 3x1

Victor Cruz's talents expand beyond football and salsa dancing. WWD reports that the New York Giants wide receiver has designed a capsule collection for 3x1, the New York City-based denim store that boasts its own in-store factory.

"He came into the shop the first time after the Giants won the Super Bowl and we've always wanted to do something a little more unique and special on the men's side," 3x1 founder Scott Morrison told the paper.

Debuting online and in stores (including the brand's just-opened Southampton location) in September, the five-piece collection that's dubbed "A Fall to Remember" will consist of a chambray shirt, two pairs of jeans, a shirt jacket, and a military coat, all made of Japanese fabrics and ranging in price from $325 to $1,325. A portion of sale proceeds will go to the Victor Cruz foundation, which helps to bring STEM-related programs to local Boys & Girls Clubs.

Cruz, a New Jersey native, might be new at designing, but he's shown an interest in fashion since rising to fame a few years back: He's a regular Met Ball attendee, a front row fixture at New York Fashion Week (and a likely guest at several of next week's New York Fashion Week: Men's shows), and is front Givenchy's fall/winter campaign.
