Demi Moore's triplex penthouse at San Remo, overlooking Central Park, is still on the market for a ridiculously exorbitant $75 million, but the lack of traction on the place does not seem to have moved the actress. For the longest time people had no idea what it looked like on the inside until The New York Times finally scored an exclusive first look inside.

Two years after it first went on the market, Jon Bon Jovi finally managed to sell his Soho penthouse for $37.5 million in March this year. That was about $5 million less than what he originally listed it for but he still made significant bank when you consider he purchased the property for $24 million back in 2007. He subsequently purchased a comparatively modest four-bedroom in the West Village for $12.95 million.

Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos purchased this Upper East Side townhouse for $27 million back in 2013, but it didn't become public information until this year. The couple sold their Soho penthouse located on Crosby Street back in May 2014 for $20 million, which was just over $4 million below the original asking price.

Funnyman Mike Myers first listed his three-unit Soho duplex for $15.95 million, but then added another unit in June and then put up the triplex on the market for $21.5 million. The Mercer Street-located apartment also has a rooftop terrace.

The late Cosmopolitan editor Helen Gurley Brown's Upper West Side penthouse went on the market for $20 million this fall, three years after she died. It followed a contentious battle between her estate and members of the co-op building where she lived. The latter wanted the apartment sold, but the former wanted to hold on to it for longer; the co-op eventually prevailed.

Real Madrid soccer sensation, Cristiano Ronaldo paid $18.5 million for a three-bedroom at the Trump Tower back in August. The midtown pad features just under 3,000 square feet of space. The purchase is adding fuel to the fire that Ronaldo might depart Real Madrid when his contract ends in 2018, and move to the States to join MLS, much like another soccer superstar did a while ago. Yes, you guess it - David Beckham.

Die Hard star Bruce Willis purchased this Central Park facing, six-bedroom duplex for $16.995 million back in February. Willis is quite the fan of the Upper West Side having moved just a few blocks down from his three-bedroom at the El Dorado that he sold in December 2014 for $13 million. Before the El Dorado, Willis owned an apartment at Trump Place, and with each new dig Willis has shelled out more green.

The Beatles legend Paul McCartney purchased this penthouse on the Upper East Side for $15.5 million in May. The penthouse belonged to the developer of the building, whose wife lived there until her death at the age of 92 in 2014.

The Williamsburg loft once owned by late-aughts It Girl and model Agyness Deyn sold for $3.1 million, a small chop from its original $3.65 million asking price. The apartment was hardly recognizable from Deyn's day when it more resembled the Little Mermaid's hideaway than model's retreat; the sellers remodeled the apartment's kitchen and overhauled its interiors, bringing it the staid Williamsburg of 2015 look it has today.

Is anyone surprised that Nate Berkus's home is impeccable? The celebrity interior designer listed his three-bedroom Greenwich Village duplex for $10.5 million, which is noteworthy because it's a whopping $4.5 million more than he paid for it in 2013. Berkus and his husband, interior designer Jeremiah Brent, purchased an adjacent one-bedroom apartment in the building (which was designed by famed architect Emery Roth), then renovated it and combined it with the penthouse to create the apartment as it is now.

Julia Roberts's Greenwich Village apartment was listed in July for $4.5 million, but buyer Nicolas de Croisset (a financier who's married to Vogue's Phoebe de Croisset) snapped it up for $5.35 million. Roberts originally had two NYC penthouses in her real estate portfolio, and she's still holding on that second penthouse at 7 Gramercy Park West—and considering it comes with a key to the park, we don't blame her.

Comedy's "It" girl, Amy Schumer, listed her Upper West Side floor-through earlier this year. The West 80th Street co-op is charming, with two wood-burning fireplaces surrounded by carved mantles, built-in bookshelves, a master bathroom with a claw-foot tub, and a landscaped roof terrace. Schumer picked up the one-bedroom pad for $1.695 million in September 2014, and has re-listed the apartment for $2.075 million. Her real estate hunt, like her career, continues onwards and upwards.

Aaron Dessner, the multi-instrumentalist who's best known as being one-fifth of Brooklyn indie-rockers the National, listed his six-bedroom Victorian in Ditmas Park for $2.35 million. The studio itself is where Dessner and the band recorded its 2010 album High Violet; he also worked with artists like Sharon Van Etten and Local Natives in the space, which definitely ups its cool factor. It's currently configured as a two-family home, with a separate apartment on the second floor (the National's lead singer Matt Berninger rented it out once upon a time), but could be converted back to a single-family space.

Comedian Michael Showalter, one of the creative forces behind The State and Wet Hot American Summer (among many other things), said "I'm outta…here" to his Brooklyn home. He recently sold his four-story townhouse in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, raking in $1.6 million in the process. (He bought the house in 2010 for $800,000—talk about a good deal.) The home, which had been listed by Corcoran, has lots of charm: there's a large backyard (with a shed!), a "music room," three bedrooms, and tons of storage space.

The Cobble Hill home of Beastie Boy Mike D. (alias Diamond) and director Tamra Davis has sold for $5.48 million, just under its initial asking price. The Baltic Street townhouse, which the brokerbabble called "meticulously renovated and aesthetically re-imagined," was gut-renovated by the couple, and features customized design elements (such as the Brooklyn-themed FlavorPaper wallpaper); they've since moved on to designing and developing other Brooklyn townhouses, including one on the corner of Pacific Street.

After divorcing his wife, Stephanie March, earlier this year, Bobby Flay listed the couple's duplex in the Chelsea Mercantile building for $7.95 million. The duplex was created by combining two apartments on the eighth and ninth floors of the building, and the interiors were designed by MG & Company, which has worked with Flay on his NYC restaurants. Other amenities include a billiards room, built-in bookshelves, and industrial details (like exposed beams and a tin ceiling)—and yes, the kitchen is as big and nice as you'd expect.

Back in 2007, financial guru Suze Orman purchased a small apartment at the Plaza Hotel for $3.6 million; this year, she listed the one-bedroom apartment for $4.5 million. (Flipping it for $1 million more than you paid? Sounds like a financial do!) Orman's tasteful apartment has several customized features: cream-colored kitchen cabinetry, marble bathrooms (there are two!), and coordinated silk linens in the bedroom.

Actress Jessica Chastain dropped $5.1 million on a four-bedroom unit in West 57th Street co-op building The Osborne. The apartment used to belong to legendary composer Leonard Bernstein, who lived there until 1974, and it probably looks somewhat similar now to how it did then, having retained a number of original details including stained-glass parlor windows, hand-carved mahogany doors, and five fireplaces.

Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale recently snagged a three-bedroom townhouse at 453 Warren Street for just under $2.2 million. The couple, who recently co-starred in the movies Annie and Adult Beginners, had been living in the East Village; their new pad, which is technically a two-family house, has two separate gardens, an open kitchen, and laundry and storage space.

Jon Bon Jovi has had quite the real estate journey in the past few years: After listing his gigantic Soho penthouse for a staggering $42 million in 2013—and getting no takers—the rocker cut the asking price not once, but twice. The palatial apartment finally sold earlier this year, and it looks like Bon Jovi took the spoils and grabbed another chunk of NYC real estate. The Jersey native bought a four-bedroom apartment at 150 Charles Street for just under $12.95 million.

Norah Jones is the buyer of the beloved Cobble Hill carriage house at 172 Pacific Street. The house, which served as a set for that lovable but forgettable Julia Roberts movie Eat, Pray, Love, showed up on the market in April 2014 for $8 million alongside brokerbabble touting the former firehouse as "rare and mythical" in a sea of other lovely Brooklyn houses. Despite its unicorn-y properties, the house was hit with a pricechop down to $6.995 million before selling to Jones for $6.25 million in May.

Liza Minnelli is leaving New York. She's not here to stay. She wants to be a part of it...Los Angeles. The songstress sold her 21st-floor co-op at the Upper East Side's Imperial House for $8.37 million in order to spend more time near friends and family on the West Coast. An Architectural Digest feature from 1981 provides a few dated looks into Minnelli's pad, which of course includes an original Andy Warhol featuring Minnelli's own mug.

National court jester Donald Trump has parted ways with his very large and boring penthouse in 502 Park Avenue, better known as Trump Park Avenue. The five-bedroom apartment, which carries $16,272 in monthly costs, has been owned by Trump since he converted the building to condos in 2002. It was listed for $35 million in 2013 and was eventually chopped down to $25 million this year, before selling for $21 million.

French tennis legend Yannick Noah listed his three-bedroom duplex overlooking Central Park for $9.5 million back in January. He sold it for a slight loss at $9.2 million in November. Noah's most notable claim to fame is his singles and doubles victory at 1984 French Open.

A two-bedroom condo is hardly big enough for new parents, so naturally, A-list couple Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis listed their apartment in the Porter House on Ninth Avenue. It's a pretty normal condo, measuring 1,670 square feet, and featuring normal condo things like Viking appliances, dark hardwood floors, and big windows. The asking price was $3.995 million. They eventually sold it for $3.8 million.

Supermodel Gigi Hadid, one of Taylor Swift's best friends, put her two-bedroom apartment in the Adjmi & Andreoli-designed condo building 250 Bowery on the market, asking $2.45 million. Hadid purchased the unit just last year, paying $1.92 million.

Grammy-winning singer Roberta Flack is the latest bold-faced name to leave the storied (and scandal-ridden, and haunted) Dakota building. Flack, who has lived in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with 72nd Street views for some four decades, tossed it on the market with a $9.5 million price tag. Think two wood-burning fireplaces, arched windows, original moldings, and tons of closets.

Michelle Williams recently bought a 114-year-old Colonial Revival on Albermarle Road, which has a columned, two-story front porch that led its broker to heavily reference Gone With the Wind in the listing. The eight-bedroom, six-bath house is in contract, and it was last asking $2.45 million. So it's huge, historic, and filled with fireplaces—"on architectural steroids," one might say—but it's also definitely in need of some upgrades.

After more than three seasons on Real Housewives of New York, the launch of a multimillion-dollar low-calorie cocktail line called Skinny Girl, and a rather epic apartment search, Bethenny Frankel has finally settled down. The Daily News revealed that she is the buyer of a two-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment at 22 Mercer Street in Soho. The loft-style apartment, where she will live with her daughter Bryn after it is renovated, came with a wood-burning fireplace, mahogany arched windows, and a long hallway stocked with space-saving features like a window seat, desk, and storage cabinets.

New York Yankees outfielder Carlos Beltran finally found a NYC home base—a $9.3 million one, at that—in the form of a duplex penthouse on the Upper East Side. The Daily News first reported the sale of a five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom with a private rooftop and 360-degree views from the East River to Central Park. The apartment originally hit the market back in 2013 asking $11.5 million, so Beltran got a deal by comparison.

The famed Dakota apartment where 20th century starlet Lauren Bacall made home for the last 53 years of her life sold earlier this year. The new owners are Oaktree Capital managing director Ronald Beck and his wife, Cynthia. The duo snapped the nine-room apartment up in July, after it was listed in mid-November 2014 for $26 million. Bacall spent the last 53 years of her life in the apartment—she died at the age of 89 in 2014—and word has it that the silver screen maven paid between a mere $28,000 and $48,000 for the spread when she landed in the Upper West Side co-op in 1961. Talk about a smart investment.

With Mad Men ending, it looks like actress Christina Hendricks, aka the sassy Joan Holloway, may be spending more time in New York City, as Trulia reports that Hendricks and her actor husband Geoffrey Arend dropped $1.155 million on a one-bedroom condo in the Parc Vendome on West 56th near Ninth Avenue. The place measures roughly 800 square feet, has a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, and was previously owned by someone who had the saddest Christmas tree in the world.

A Greek Revival townhouse in Chelsea that has been home to many a celebrity is back on the market, this time asking $22.5 million. The former dwelling of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, Olivier Sarkozy, Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Courtney Love, and, not least, Glenn Close during the Fatal Attraction years is currently broken up into five high-end rentals, but can be converted into a single-family home.

After ditching the star-studded 155 Franklin Street in June, film director Steven Soderbergh has invested $8.5 million on a duplex at Tribeca warehouse conversion 7 Harrison. Soderbergh is the new owner of the Atelier unit, which spans 3,100 square feet and has three bedrooms and a patio. Soderbergh reportedly sold his $5.87 million pad at 155 Franklin Street ahead of an unavoidable renovation. His 7 Harrison atelier is appropriately shiny and new.

Actor Zachary Quinto bought a two-bedroom loft in 43 Great Jones Street. The apartment, which had previously sold in 2007 for $2.5 million, was listed in March 2014 for $3.7 million but lingered on the market and endured a series of price cuts before Quinto and his longtime boyfriend Miles McMillan scooped it up for $3,162,500. It was recently renovated, and features a private elevator landing.

Noelle Beck, known for her roles on "Loving" and "As the World Turns," and her husband purchased the four-story Anglo-Italianate style townhouse at 243 East 17th Street in 1997, paying $1.6 million. Now, almost two decades later, they are cashing out, having put the house back on the market for $17 million. The house itself is really something, with arched windows, cast-iron balconies, five fireplaces, fancy chandeliers, and a skylight, along with a bevy of original details.

Here's one of the weirdest real estate transactions involving sports people in recent memory: tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams have apparently owned a Midtown apartment together for a decade but never got around to furnishing it, and just sold it to Ted Wells, author of the Wells Report, the NFL's official investigation into Tom Brady allegedly deflating footballs before a playoff game, which is a whole big thing right now. The Williams sisters paid $1.335 million for the apartment, located on the tenth floor of 28 West 38th Street, in 2005, and sold it to Wells for $2.1 million.

Pop star Ricky Martin has finally parted ways with his three-bedroom condo in 40 Bond Street, selling it for $7.55 million. Martin bought the apartment, which features a master bathroom "finished in Austrian smoked oak treated with natural oil," for $5.7 million in 2007, and put it on the rental market a couple times before listing it for $8.3 million back in 2013. Although it took quite a while for the apartment to get anywhere close to that asking price, patience eventually paid off.
