Sex and the City's Candace Bushnell Tries Again To Sell Co-op

New, 25 comments

The creator of Sex and the City and other girly, gossipy goodness, Candace Bushnell, tried unloading her beautiful Greenwich Village apartment back in 2012 after a messy divorce. But nothing came to pass from the $2.8 million sales attempt. A decade ago, the two-bedroom was featured on the cover of Elle Decor, and the home remains stylish and lovely. When Bushnell moved in, though, the place was "a wreck" that "hadn't been occupied for many years." A makeover by designer and Bushnell buddy Susan Forristal sure turned it around. There are flashes of fun:

The living room looks fairly formal, but hidden in a cabinet under the bookshelves is a bar and mini fridge, usually stocked with champagne. First spotted by the Observer, the new listing has seen a minor PriceChop: it now wants $2,645,000. Some of the decor has also been toned down, but frankly, we miss the hot pink.

Just for fun, are some photos from the Elle Decor spread, back when it was a tad more colorful.
