10 Surprisingly Pretty Photos of the World's Most Instagrammed Spot

New, 3 comments

We don't need a list to tell us that many, many, many people take pictures in Times Square—selfies, ussies, photos that require blocking the flow of pedestrian traffic, photos with scary costumed Elmos/Transformers/babies, the list goes on and on. But the Midtown attraction's shutterbug supremacy has officially been confirmed by Instagram, which released a list of 2015's most photographed places in the world (via Travel & Leisure, h/t Gothamist), based on photos tagged on the platform. New York City topped the list, with Times Square being the most popular location. We know what you're thinking: Times Square is loud, crowded, and not all that pretty. But these photos—all of which were posted to Instagram—may just change your mind about that.
