Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The fancy Oscar de la Renta sample sale kicked off today at 150 Greene Street, so and popped into the sale this afternoon to find that most of the inventory was ready-to-wear and fur, save for three racks of gorgeous bridal gowns and shoe displays running along the back of the sale's venue.

Unless you're in the market for a bridal ($2,000) or red carpet-esque gown ($1,500), your best bet are those shoes, which are all just $75. We spied signature embroidered styles, smart-looking slingbacks, and these bedazzled mules that are begging to be packed for your next vacation:

As for the ready-to-wear options, cocktail dresses hovered around $399; shrugs, $300; sequin blazers, $700; skirts, $400; and blouses and tank tos, $150. The furs were decadent and obviously pricey: A navy mink coat we pulled off the rack was $6,825.
