The NYC Easter Parade is not the place for your bunny suit (matching family outfits, though, might be acceptable). The centuries-old tradition of shutting down Fifth Avenue between 49th and 57th streets for residents to strut in the best of their Sunday best was carried on yesterday, and the men and women of New York showed up more than camera-ready once again.

What you'll find here aren't typical Easter outfits, but rather a lesson in learning how to look like you just walked out of a vintage postcard. Hourglass silhouettes cinched by corsets, full skirts, and white gloves were favored by the women captured by photographer Jane Kratochvil, while men opted for dandy suits accessorized with canes and top hats. And don't forget about the fascinators — if you weren't wearing one, then why'd you bother to show up at all?

Take a look at the best outfits we spotted in the gallery above.
