Marc Jacobs Brought the Old New York Club Scene to Nolita

  • Last night, Marc Jacobs revived the "One Night Only" theme from his spring 2016 show to celebrate his latest eyewear collection in Nolita. The atmosphere mixed the theatrical air he evoked at the Ziegfield Theater with the old-school New York club scene.

Couldn't get enough of Marc Jacobs's cinematic spring 2016 show at the Ziegfield Theater last season? Neither could Marc Jacobs, apparently. Inside an old gymnasium in Nolita that's literally known as "The Old Gym," the designer continued with his "One Night Only!" theme yesterday evening for the debut of his latest eyewear collection.

Guests like Kate Mara, Mamie Gummer, Hari Nef, Mickey Boardman, Amanda Lepore, singer Lion Babe, and Condola Rashad were in attendance to soak up an atmosphere that dripped of the old New York club scene. Disco lights bathed the room as today's club kids mingled with yesterday's cabaret queens in between performances from Kanye West fave Kacy Hill and Jonte' Moaning.
