Blushington, the LA-based beauty salon that offers clients convenient and affordable makeup applications is seriously expanding its NYC footprint. Previously, the brand that gets a lot of Drybar comparisons had ambitious plans to open 10 salons in the area in the next two years, but with a new CEO at the helm, the company is paring things back a bit.

Natasha Cornstein was promoted from her role as president to CEO and has plans to open five new salons in the New York area over the next three years in neighborhoods that include Flatiron, Tribeca, Meatpacking and Midtown East, WWD is reporting. Her first order of business? Opening a 1,400-square-foot salon on the Upper East Side in October (the address wasn’t disclosed).

The new salon will be triple the size of the company’s first East Coast location that opened at Le Parker Meridien last summer. The neighborhood already has a dedicated makeup salon in Rouge, which also offers a customized lipstick service.
