Nike Is Coming to the Staten Island Outlet Mall

STATEN ISLAND—The list of retailers coming to Empire Outlets, New York City's first outlet mall, just keeps growing. The Real Deal reports that Nike Factory Outlet has signed on for a 17,000-square foot space at the North Shore site that includes Nordstrom Rack, a non-outlet H&M, and attractions like the New York Wheel. The latest estimates put Empire Outlets's debut in late 2017.

MIDTOWN—Tyga, a rapper perhaps better known for his relationship with Kylie Jenner and the Kardashian clan, will debut his capsule collaboration with Marcelo Burlon at Saks Fifth Avenue next month, according to WWD. Only 100 pieces of each of the T-shirts, hoodies, and shorts that make up the collaboration that marks his first foray into fashion will be produced, and the flagship department store will be the only place you can check it out in person (it'll be available online, too).

NEW YORK CITY—Sports Authority is likely closing all of its stores in the near future. The sporting goods retailer has stores in four out of five of New York's boroughs, including a pretty prominent location on 51st Street and Third Avenue.

TRIBECA—And in more closure news, Tribeca Citizen notes that kid's clothing store Shoofly will soon be closing its doors at 42 Hudson Street. Starting today, everything is half-off and final sale.
