UPPER EAST SIDE—Brioni's on the move. The Shophound discovered that the high-end menswear brand is joining the Madison Avenue boom with a corner store just a block away from Barneys, though it isn't yet clear if the new location is meant to be a replacement for or an addition to the existing store at East 57th Street.

NOHO—The relatively new John Barrett salon at 54 Bond Street is currently closed amid personnel problems within the company. It's "exhausting all possible options to resolve this situation," Barrett spokesperson Rachel Whitmore told WWD. CEO Jim Hedges was reportedly fired in front of a small crowd at the Bergdorf Goodman salon; "The funding for the expansion" — which includes a midtown townhouse, the Financial District, and a major deal with Saks — "did not materialize as promised," she added.

MIDTOWN—It's closing time for Faconnable's Rockefeller Center store. the French brand will shutter on Sunday, but not before wrapping up its sale, where items like men's dress shirts are currently discounted to $64.50 (originally $215).
