With all the effort that celebrities, models, It Girls, and designers put into getting ready for the Met Gala, no one expected them to pack it in right after the museum. Fashion's biggest night deserves multiple events, so once the festivities drew to a close uptown, everyone took it to the after-parties.
The Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District has always been a popular spot for post-Gala activities, and this year was no different. Taylor Swift opted to keep her meme-worthy Louis Vuitton dress, while Karlie Kloss had designer Brandon Maxwell literally cut her dress to create a late-night look.
