Prices at the Ohne Titel Sample Sale Are Ridiculously Good This Time

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We could probably count on one hand the number of sample sales that had pricing as simple as this Ohne Titel sample sale, which opens to the public at 11am today in its (soon-to-be-former) Chelsea showroom. We stopped by the tail end of yesterday's friends and family preview to find that all clothing is $30, coats are $50, and shoes are between $15 and $60 — in other words, this sale is a win-win for both its customers and its organizers.

When you walk into the fourth floor showroom, you'll see extra-small and small clothing (sizes 0 through 4) on your left, the accessories table and black metal cabinets for shoes straight ahead, and medium and large clothing (sizes 6 and 8) on the right, with most of the coats in that last section.

The apparel is mostly production pieces from the past few seasons with a few samples thrown in, and the selection runs the gamut from sweaters and crop tops to shorts and skirts of varying lengths, plus plenty of dresses. There's definitely more clothing for the smaller sizes, and the nature of design duo Alexa Adams and Flora Gill's pieces is largely body-con — so almost everything here is a tight fit. You'll typically find a couple of each production piece per size.

Because they're keeping it so casual around here, anything with a price variation (that would be the shoes, plus the accessories selection that includes jewelry, belts, and a few hats), aren't marked — but just ask someone working there, and they'll be happy to let you know. Shoes are mainly runway samples — so there's minor scuffs on the soles — in sizes 39 and 40.

We didn't spot a designated changing area yesterday, so you might want to arrive in leggings and a tank top if you're looking to try stuff on sans exposure. There's a few racks of merchandise to replenish what's out on the floor, and it's mostly smaller sizes. To see when you can stop by, check out the Dealfeed below.
